    You've been admitted to Wichita State - let's celebrate! 
    Wichita State staff and students are coming to Oklahoma City for an Admitted Student Reception. Admitted high school seniors and college transfer students will have the opportunity to connect with other future Shockers from Oklahoma and get an overview of next steps to joining Shocker Nation. All admitted students who attend will be entered into a drawing for a $1000 scholarship for the 2026-2027 academic year!

    A tentative agenda for the event includes:

    6:30 p.m. Check-in opens / Mix & Mingle for New Shockers
    7:00 p.m. Presentation
    7:30 p.m. Student Panel with members of Student Ambassador Society
    7:45 p.m. Scholarship Drawing
    7:50 p.m. Breakout Sessions: 
    • Ready to take the next step? Submit your pre-enrollment questionnaire.
    • Talk with representatives from Financial Aid & Scholarships, Housing & Residence Life and OneStop First Year Advising.
    • Table Topics with Student Ambassadors including what to bring to your dorm room, what are college professors like, and more.
    This event is free to attend. Light refreshments will be provided.
