W-S-YOU: A Program for Admitted Students

    Admitted high school seniors and transfer students are invited to discover the many opportunities at Wichita State by attending W-S-YOU! Still deciding on joining Shocker Nation? Definitely know you're going to be a Shocker? No matter where you're at in the process, this event is for you!

    Students who attend can expect to:
    • Hear directly from current Wichita State students
    • Connect with other admitted students for Fall 2021
    • Browse tables at the Shocker Experience Fair spread all throughout campus
    • Listen to Shocker Navigators (our tour guides) as they give history and exciting updates at tour stops all over campus
    • Leave with Wichita State swag!
    A tentative agenda for the event includes:

    2:00 p.m. - Welcome at Charles Koch Arena featuring speakers from Wichita State Administration and current WSU students
    (1:15 p.m. - Check-in opens at Charles Koch Arena)
    2:45 p.m. - Make the day your own as you browse tables and tour stops all over campus. 
    4:30 p.m. - Check-out with an Admissions staff member to receive your Shocker swag for attending.

    Currently W-S-YOU is planning to take place on-campus. We're excited for admitted students to come to campus - maybe for the first time - and see all that we have to offer. 

    HEALTH & SAFETY DURING YOUR VISIT: Wichita State University has recently updated their policies to stay aligned with Sedgwick County. While on-campus for your visit, please consider the following:
    • Wichita State strongly encourages all people on-campus to wear a face mask. The Office of Admissions does have a limited supply of disposable masks for visitors should you or your guests want one. 
    • When possible, keep distance between those who are not in your immediate family. 
    • Consider minimizing the number of people attending with you during your visit.
    Hand sanitizer is available at the front desk and each student visitor is supplied a personal hand sanitizer in their bag after checking in.

    Our team is staying home if they have a fever or other symptoms common to COVID-19 or other illnesses, and we would ask that you do the same. Protecting you and our team is the top priority. We appreciate your patience as we navigate safety first for everyone. We look forward to seeing you!
